DETROIT LAKES, Minn. - A woman here was killed when she was struck by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train Tuesday morning.

Authorities say the 35-year-old Detroit Lakes woman, Shannon Marie Bugge, had met a friend from Mahnomen, whose name is being withheld, at the Amtrak station in Detroit Lakes on Tuesday morning.
