For the first half of the opening set, the Park Rapids volleyball team battled the state's No. 2-rated Class AA team point for point.


That's when Wadena-Deer Creek's front line took over.

Led by the net play of Brittney Noon, Kelsi Crawford and Emily Miron and the serving of Avery Jackson, the Wolverines were able to pull away en route to a 25-16, 25-4, 25-19 Mid-State Conference victory at the Area High School gym.
