In Thursday's semifinals at Menahga, White threw a three-hitter and struck out 14 as the Braves defeated No. 7 Lake Park-Audubon 3-0. White also pitched well in the subsection championship game, allowing five hits in a 4-2 loss to No. 1 Hawley.

In the quarterfinal win over Frazee, White received all the run support she would need when Menahga scored three runs in the first inning. Joy Haataja and Megan Miller singled, Amelia Pho had a two-run double, and Jenny Skoog had a single. Singles by Emily Skoog and Jada Melton led to the Braves' other run in the fourth.

White struck out the first 10 batters she faced and didn't walk a batter en route to the win.

In the victory over LP-A, singles by Katie Miller, Haataja and White led to a run in the third and a single by Haataja, a double by White and a single by Megan Miller produced the other two runs in the sixth.

Haataja and White both went 2 for 3 and White allowed no walks as the Braves advanced to the subsection title game.

The Braves were held to only four hits in the loss to Hawley, which used errors to score single runs in the second, fourth and sixth innings. Jordan Iverson's solo homer accounted for the Nuggets' other run.

Menahga scored two runs in the third on singles by Melton and Katie Miller and an error. Melton went 2 for 3 to lead Menahga's offense.

Hawley advanced to the subsection title game by defeating No. 9 Nevis 15-0 and No. 4 Sebeka 8-1.

Menahga, 9-14 overall, played Bertha-Hewitt and Hawley faced Parkers Prairie in the section semifinals Tuesday at Pillager. The Section 6A championship game will be played Thursday at 6 at Pillager.
