Web comments policy to change

After more than a month of tests on its website, Forum Communications Co. is moving comments from its news websites to, which you can reach through the Enterprise site. From there, users will be able to register a profile -- complete with an avatar and a friends list -- and comment on stories selected by each newspaper's staff.

The comments site has some new additions, including real-time flow to posts and yea-or-nay voting on the quality of individual comments, which will hide often-disliked posts from public view. Comments also will be threaded, making it easier for readers to reply to a specific post.

A group of moderators has been formed to monitor all discussions on the site.
