Warrant issued in Granite Falls double homicide
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a suspect in a double homicide which took place in Granite Falls earlier this month. Andrew Joseph Dikken (dee'-kehn) is being sought by law enforcement in the shooting deaths of Kara Ann Monson, 26, of Granite Falls and Christopher Allen Panitzke (pah-niht'-skee), 28, of Redwood Falls.
Investigators believe Dikken shot Monson and Panitzke in Monson’s Granite Falls home on September 2. Monson died that day. Panitzke died on September 8.
The vehicle believed to be driven by Mr. Dikken was found on September 4 in a remote location approximately five miles north of Belview, Minn. off of Redwood County Road 7.
Anyone with information on Mr. Dikken's whereabouts is urged to contact the Granite Falls Police Department, the Yellow Medicine Sheriff’s Office, or call 911. Mr. Dikken should not be approached as he may be armed and dangerous.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in this active and ongoing investigation.
