Wadena County Sheriff's office investigating burglaries
Investigators with the Wadena County Sheriff's Office are probing a series of break-ins in the county in the past week.
On Wednesday, April 6, a Sebeka resident reported her home was burglarized in North Germany Township sometime on April 5 or 6.
She stated that the door to the home was forced open and lots of personal property was taken, such as VHS tapes, tools and other personal belongings. The home was gone through front to back and the entire home was a mess and items were thrown around, the victim told authorities.
Meanwhile, the Wadena County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a residential burglary in Section 2 of Wadena Township on April 4. Forced entry was made into the house and several items were taken and several rooms in the house had been ransacked. The homeowners were not home at the time and it is unclear when the burglary happened and what was taken from the home. The case is currently under investigation.
The Wadena County Sheriff's Office also responded to multiple attempted break-ins last week where no entry was made and nothing was found to be missing. The Wadena County Sheriff's Office is asking for any assistance with information regarding these burglaries.
