UPDATED: Unofficial results show Menahga School referendum within three votes of passing
In another close race, voters said "no" for a third time to a Menahga School District building referendum. Unofficial results from the Minnesota Secretary of State's Office show 695 no votes and 692 yes votes.
The question asked for voters to allow Menahga School District 821 to issue general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $4,350,000 to provide funds for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including the construction and equipping of five elementary classrooms, a physical education classroom/gymnasium, a weight room, women and men's locker rooms and bathrooms, a concession area, an entry, and kitchen storage.
The project was scaled back from the two previous votes in the last year.
