UPDATED: Stabbing in Longville leaves one dead, one in custody
Sheriff Tom Burch reports that Cass County authorities responded to a report of a stabbing in the Longville area shortly after midnight on 02-05-12. Upon their arrival, deputies found a stabbing victim who was transported to the Crosby Hospital, where he later died. The suspect was located a short time later in the Longville area. The suspect, Frank Larose, age 23 of Longville, was taken into custody by Cass County Deputies in connection with the stabbing. Larose is currently being held in the Cass County Jail pending formal charges. Sheriff Tom Burch reports the incident remains under investigation with an autopsy pending. The stabbing victim has been identified as James Raymond Elmberg, age 31, of Walker.
