-The local Kids Against Hunger project will be packaging food for Haiti from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31 at Faith Baptist Church in Park Rapids. Those who would like to help package food should call Mark Waller at 732-7230. Donations to cover expenses are welcome.

Tuesday, Feb. 2

-Actor and award winning illustrator Steve Stark becomes Teddy Roosevelt from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2 at Northwoods Bank for the opening program of the Headwaters Center for Lifelong Learning.

Thursday, Feb. 4

-A defensive driving refresher course with Dave Free will be held from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4 at Northwoods Bank in Park Rapids. To register, call 218-333-3100, ext. 301.

Friday, Feb. 5

-St. Joseph's Area Health Services Auxiliary will have a "Go-Red for Women" lunch from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10 at Riverside United Methodist Church. To make reservations, call 237-5522 or Joyce Cowman at 732-0992. Auxiliary members should make their reservations through their group president. Reservations will be accepted through Friday, Feb. 5.

-First City Squares of Bemidji is hosting a Square Dance from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5 at the United Methodist Fellowship Hall. Saturday, Feb. 6

-The next Ruby's Pantry food distribution will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Assumption of our Lady Catholic Church in Menahga. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Bring baskets and boxes for food. Volunteers are needed. For more information, contact Karol or Dave at 564-4501.

Sunday, Feb. 7

-A Boy Scouts pancake breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7 at the Park Rapids American Legion Club.

-The 21st annual Wadena County Radar Run will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7 on Spirit Lake. Registration begins at 10 a.m. with no additional runs after 2:30 p.m. Prizes include trophies for first and second places and cash prizes for top speed of the day.
