Dr. Glen Palm has studied ethics in parent and family education, fathers' perceptions on attachments, the influence of fathers on social-emotional development of young children and the father's role in literacy development.
Early childhood is a critical time for the healthy development of children. Between the ages of 2 and 7, the human brain grows to 70 to 90 percent of its adult size.
The quality of nurturing and education during this time significantly impacts not only and child's individual capacities, but the child's ability to ultimately contribute to a healthy community.
Research shows fathers matter a great deal in the education of their children, regardless of income, cultural background or education level.
Palm has written extensively on the subject and has co-authored two books on the subject.
