Area cooks are being challenged to a meatball-making contest as part of the Lakeport Area First Responders Fundraiser on Sunday, April 25. Each contestant will make a pan of meatballs to be judged and a panel of area pastors will taste the samples and proclaim the winners.

Those wishing to enter meatballs for the contest may pick up a registration form at the school, Laporte Grocery or Miller's Gas and Service. The funds raised will help first responders update their emergency radios and supplies.
