Ulen, Minn., farmer sentenced for spilling corn mash load on I-94
A 55-year-old farmer who spilled slippery corn mash on Interstate 94 last fall, causing ice-like conditions that injured four people, pleaded guilty to a felony today in Cass County (N.D.) District Court.
Charles F. McCarthy, a hog and dairy farmer from Ulen, Minn., pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment and was sentenced to five days in jail, time which he's already served.
