Two women agree to plea bargains in 'That's Mommy's' drug case
GRAND FORKS - Two women arrested on drug charges while traveling with two small children have reached plea agreements Thursday in their cases in Grand Forks County District Court.
Kaitlyn H. Campbell and Jessica P. Gordon both faced charges of child endangerment and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Gordon also faced a possession of marijuana charge.
The two were arrested Jan. 19 after a traffic stop. A sheriff's deputy smelled marijuana and a search of the car revealed pipes and marijuana. Campbell's 4-year-old daughter told the deputy, "That's Mommy's" as he revealed a pipe. She also told him, "Mommy smokes weed all the time," according to a court affidavit.
Gordon, 20, of Park River, N.D., will serve 57 days in jail with the remainder of her one-year term suspended for two years. She will also be on t
