Two men arrested after police chase early Friday
Two men were arraigned on several charges Friday after a pursuit with police early that morning.
Police were called to the parking lot of a Park Rapids bar at about 1 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3 to a report of several individuals causing problems, said Park Rapids police chief Terry Eilers.
Police officers and state troopers showed up and two individuals decided to take off, he said.
"They were chased north on Henrietta to County 81 then they crashed into some trees," Eilers said.
Jeremy Neadau, of Bloomington, and Brandon Neadau, of Red Lake, were arrested.
"They wouldn't listen to officers and were threatening them," Eilers said. "The dog was sent in and they hit the dog."
Jeremy Neadau was charged with fleeing a police officer, fourth-degree assault on a law enforcement dog, second-degree DWI and allowing open alcohol container. Brandon Neadau was charged with fourth-degree assault on a law enforcement dog, obstructing legal process and open bottle.
