Two dead of apparent prescription drug overdose in Ogema
A man and a woman found dead in their home in Ogema early this morning both appeared to have died from overdoses of their prescription medications, according to the Becker County Sheriff's Department.
At about 1 a.m. today emergency personnel were called to a home in Ogema, about 20 miles north of Detroit Lakes. They found the bodies of a 25-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man, who both lived at the residence.
Their names were not immediately released.
Investigators from the sheriff's department, White Earth Tribal Police Department and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension "at this time feel there is no foul play, and the victims appear to have overdosed on 'prescription drugs' with their respective prescriptions," according to the sheriff's department.
Autopsies have been ordered for both of them and investigators are awaiting the results. The investigation is ongoing and no further details were released.
