Two charged with burglary, assault
District Judge Robert Tiffany heard the following individuals in District Court in Hubbard County Feb. 19.
Steven Ray Greenfeather, 23, of Ponsford and Terrance Lee Bloom, 31, of Ponsford made first appearances. Each is charged with three counts of first degree burglary and fifth degree assault.
Earlier, Timothy Eugene Bloom, 26, of Ponsford pleaded not guilty to three counts of first degree burglary and second degree assault with a dangerous weapon in connection with the same incident.
According to the complaint, a Park Rapids police officer interviewed two individuals about an incident that occurred Nov. 25, 2007 at an apartment in Park Rapids.
The pair said they were sleeping in the living room when five men entered without permission. They identified the men, including Steven Greenfeather, Terrance Bloom and Timothy Bloom. One of the occupants was severely beaten in the incident.
Each burglary charge carries a maximum of 20 years in jail and/or a $35,000 fine. The assault charge carries a maximum of 90 days in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.
