Tim Pearson recovering from car crash

Park Rapids funeral home director Tim Pearson is slowly recovering from serious injuries sustained in a car crash in Wadena County last week.
“He’s been so touched by the concern of everyone, and we all appreciate the prayers for him and all of us so very much!” posted Pearson’s daughter, Leah Kelton on Facebook.
Pearson was returning from St. Cloud late on the night of Aug. 12 when he fell asleep at the wheel, Kelton said.
He struck the rear-end of a truck turning off the highway.
“He is still in ICU as of this morning, but he is looking SO MUCH BETTER!” Kelton posted.
“His fever is gone now, which was brought on by a chest infection. They are hoping to have him transitioning to a liquid diet soon, and out of ICU early this week. He’s still in a great deal of pain, but he is recovering and will continue to! He appreciates everyone’s care so very much and will be more able to have guests when moved out of ICU. He’s conversing much more easily now.”
Pearson, 55, of Jones-Pearson Funeral Home, underwent surgery at St. Joseph’s Area Health Services in Park Rapids last week to control internal bleeding.
He suffered other injuries including a broken ankle, Kelton told the Enterprise.
