Three injured in Sunday accident
Two women and a child were injured Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision on Irvine Avenue Northwest.
The accident, reported at 1:59 p.m. at Irvine and Maple Ridge Court Northwest, involved two vehicles both headed north on Irvine.
According to the state accident report:
Michelle Ellen Rossbach, 38, of Bemidji, was driving a 1999 Toyota Avalon when she slowed to make a left turn onto Maple Ridge.
A vehicle behind Rossbach, an unidentified brown pickup, either passed Rossbach on the right or turned into a driveway.
Behind the pickup was a 1999 Oldsmobile Alerus driven by Aaron Michael Hunt, 34, of Bemidji. Hunt, after seeing Rossbach's vehicle slowing, applied his brakes and tried to avoid a collision, but ended up skidding into the rear of the Avalon.
The Avalon, once hit, spun around and struck the Alerus in the side.
Rossbach and two passengers in her vehicle, 68-year-old Babetta Jean Rossbach and 2-year-old Codie Duane Rossbach, were treated and released at North Country Regional Hospital.
Hunt was not injured.
