Update: Missing 5-year-old from fatal Bemidji fire found alive

Three file to oppose Carlson in Hubbard County District 1

Four candidates will run in the August primary for Hubbard County commission District 1, including incumbent Don Carlson.

The deadline to file was June 1.

Carlson will be opposed by Nevis school board member Sherman Anderson, radio station owner Ed DeLaHunt and businesswoman Kathy McGrane Grell.

In Commission District 3, incumbent Greg Larson is running against the man he ousted in 2006, Floyd Frank. Cal Johannsen is running unopposed in District 5.

Sheriff Frank Homer is being opposed by Sgt. Cory Aukes; County Attorney Don Dearstyne is being opposed by Perham attorney Nathaniel Welte.

Two candidates will run unopposed for Soil & Water Supervisors: Donald Sells in District 4 and W.R. Clausen in District 5.
