Thief River Falls scored three times in the fifth and three times in the sixth to rally for a 6-4 win over the Park Rapids baseball team Tuesday at Thief River Falls.
Doubles by Levi Erickson, Cory Odland and Christian Ridlon and an RBI single by Ryan Peterson gave the Panthers a 3-0 lead in the first inning.
A double by Jordan Eischens and an RBI single by Zach Eystad pushed the Panthers' lead to 4-0 in the fourth.
After the Prowlers cut the deficit to 4-3 in the fifth, Reed Helling's bases-clearing triple with two outs in the sixth gave Thief River Falls the lead.
Singles by Eystad, Sam Coborn and Erickson loaded the bases with no outs in the seventh, but the Panthers couldn't produce tying runs.
Erickson went 2 for 4, Peterson went 2 for 3 and Eystad went 2 for 3 to lead Park Rapids' 10-hit offensive attack. Erickson went the distance, allowing three earned runs as the Panthers fell to 3-11 on the season with their seventh loss in a row.
