Surface water hazard on Highway 200, east of Laporte
BEMIDJI, Minn.-- (8:45 a.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation - Northwest District is alerting motorists to a surface water hazard on Highway 200 east of Laporte between Hubbard County Roads 45 and 30.
The moving water over the highway is approximately one to three inches deep which can be hazardous to drivers.
According to Gary Kennedy, MnDOT southeast subarea supervisor, the likely cause is a frozen pipe under the highway which needs to be steamed open.
