What appeared to be an injured bald eagle stopped traffic Saturday noon on U.S. Highway 71 north of Menahga. Bruce and Alli Breun spotted the large bird on the roadside dining on a deer carcass. It appeared to be hobbling with a broken wing. Just after help was called, the eagle took flight, wobbly at first, then soared away. (Sarah Smith / Enterprise)
