Smoke from burning cornstalks in Polk County seen for miles
Cornstalks being burned caused white, billowing smoke to be seen Saturday afternoon east of Grand Forks and East Grand Forks.
The smoke came from a cornfield 10 miles northeast of East Grand Forks. An East Grand Forks Police dispatcher said someone called in about 3 p.m. asking about the huge clouds visible from town.
