Skoog, Cleveland lift Menahga past W-H-A

Jenny Skoog's 10 kills and Tarah Cleveland's 14 digs sparked the Menahga volleyball team to a 25-15, 25-14, 15-25, 26-24 win over Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Tuesday night at Walker.

Maria Tormanen and Cleveland added seven kills each while Tarrin Mickelson served five aces and had 22 set assists as the Braves improved to 4-17 on the season. Menahga had 30 kills and 41 digs in that match.

The Braves fell to 0-6 in Park Region Conference matches with a 25-11, 25-11, 25-15 loss to Henning last Thursday night.

Jenny Skoog's eight kills and eight digs led Menahga, which fell to 0-5 in Park Region action.

Henning, which was rated No. 10 in the latest state Class A poll, improved to 5-0 in the conference and 16-4-1 overall.
