Shilson unveils latest work

Park Rapids artist Wayne Shilson has completed "Boulevard Morland at Boulevard Henry IV" for the Boulevard Morland Pantheon, cityscape series paintings, Paris, France. This painting shows the Bastille in the background. "I believe Camille Pissarro would have painted this icon sculpture statue in his Boulevard Morland series," Shilson said. The Boulevard Morland Pantheon cityscape painting is a direct result from a grant he was awarded from the Region 2 Arts Council to assist with his travel to Paris. His project plan is to complete the circle of Camille Pissarro's Paris series paintings by painting the Neo-Classic building the Pantheon from the Boulevard Morland.
