The Foothills Alpaca Farm, Scott and Linda Elmore the owners, hosted a weekend of shearing with area alpacas arriving for a new do. 

 Delanee Kenna Crawford, 10, of Pine River comforted Darcy, who was accompanied by ”son” Pedro and  her companion Katie. “We got them last year,” Hope Crawford said of the three alpacas. “And we haven’t regretted it for a minute.” Eight-month-old Pedro “is like a dog,” Hope said. “He follows us everywhere.”

Elmore youngsters Doc Holiday, right, and Wyatt Earp also underwent a trim. Both were born last summer at the Foothills. They are headed to camp this summer, Scott Elmore reports of destination Trout Lake Camp east of Pine River, where they will befriend a young audience.
