Sharon "Tootz" A. Bauer

Sharon "Tootz" A. Bauer, 68, of Park Rapids, passed away quietly at her home after a long battle with multiple sclerosis (MS) Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013.

Sharon Anne Syrstad was born June 20, 1944 in St. Paul, the daughter of Morris and Lorraine (Cardinal) Syrstad. She graduated from St. Agnes School as a 13 year "Aggie" in 1962.

She was united in marriage to William F. Bauer Aug. 22, 1964. William and Sharon lived in St. Paul, where they raised their four children, Debbie, Billy, Rose and Laura.

After William retired in 1994 they moved to Little Sand Lake near Park Rapids where they have re-sided since.

She liked to play cards, read, go camping with her family, and raising her family.

She is survived by her husband, William F. Bauer of Park Rapids; four children, Deborah Bauer of Park Rapids, William (Melinda) Bauer of Ballard, W.Va.; Rose (Raymond) Stramer of Spring Lake Park; Laura (David) Swanda of Park Rapids; father, Morris Syrstad of Princeton; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Laura (Ed) Bauer of Minnesota; brother, Moe (Carla) Syrstad of Michigan; sister, Cindy (Amdy) Piccone of Florida; brother, Tom (Leanne) Syrstad of Minnesota; sister, Julie (Dan) Skalko of California; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Syrstad; father and mother-in-law, Wil-liam A. and Margaret Bauer.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids. Father Thomas Friedl will be the celebrant.

Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb 24 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Park Rapids. Reci-tation of the Rosary will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Interment: St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Cemetery in Park Rapids.

Arrangements are being handled by the Cease Family Funeral Home of Park Rapids.
