In addition, large hail was reported across parts of central and southern Minnesota. Albany reports 1.75" diameter hail along with St. Stephen and Freeport. Meanwhile, the Glenwood area had 1" hail as did Sauk Centre and the Dawson area.

Strong winds were also reported in the St. Cloud area with peak gusts to near 65 mph. The winds did some damage in Stearns and Benton Counties.

More thunderstorms moved across parts of west central into central Minnesota on Wednesday night. Some of these storms across the area Minnesota were on the strong side with large hail and damaging winds.  There was a radar indicated tornado in west central Minnesota.

Additional rain and thunderstorms chances were found across the state of Minnesota on Thursday.  They were very isolated on Thursday with some spotty showers across northern Minnesota and then right along the Minnesota/Iowa border.  Temperatures remained mild with highs in the low to mid 70s common.  Again with the warmer weather comes the threat of thunderstorms.

More rain chances arrived for Friday and Saturday, and then will become more likely on Sunday to close out the weekend. Some storms are possible once again on Sunday with some locally heavy rainfall possible.
