Search for stolen goods turns up meth lab in Pelican Rapids
Officers executing a search warrant for stolen property in Pelican Rapids found marijuana and a meth lab instead, according to a news release.
The Pelican Rapids Police Department executed the search warrant for stolen property Friday at 116 11th Ave. S.E.
Inside, officers smelled a strong smell of marijuana and a substantial amount of the drug was found in one of the bedrooms, the release stated.
Officers arrested Michelle Schueller and Paul Robertson and then asked for a second search warrant, one for narcotics.
In an unattached garage, detectives found a meth lab. Ether, acetone, coffee filters with white-colored residue, and xylene were found in the garage, along with blister packs of cold tablets, which are used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, the release stated. An oxygen tank containing anhydrous ammonia was also found.
Schueller and Robertson are being held in the Otter Tail County Detention Facility on narcotics charges. -- The Forum
