Rochert woman lottery winner; ticket purchased at Casey's in DL
A Rochert woman won more than $25,000 when she split the Northstar Cash jackpot from the May 26 drawing with another player.
Sally Tessier of Rochert claimed a $25,746 prize on May 27.
Tessier's quick-pick ticket was one of two tickets sold for the May 26 drawing that matched all five wining numbers (1-2-4-8-20).
She split the $51,492 Northstar Cash jackpot with Gaybaril Lightfoot of St. Paul.
Tessier purchased the winning ticket at Casey's General Store in Detroit Lakes.
To play Northstar Cash, players select five numbers from 1 to 31. Matching the five numbers drawn wins the jackpot, which starts at $25,000 and grows until it is won. Players also win by matching two, three or four of the numbers drawn.
Northstar Cash jackpots from two earlier drawings have not yet been claimed:
A $29,000 winning ticket was sold for the April 7 drawing in Sherburne County and a $25,000 winning ticket for the April 28 drawing was sold in Douglas County. Players have a year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
