REYNOLD R. (RAY) HAMANN
Reynold R. (Ray) Hamann, 77, of Park Rapids, formerly of Blaine, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2014 in Bullhead City, Ariz., following a courageous 12 year battle with various forms of cancer.
He is preceded in death by parents, one brother and five sisters. Ray served in the United States Army and then made his career in the construction industry retiring at 62 to enjoy many years of travel with his wife Barb, hunting and fishing with his grandchildren and golfing with the guys. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and his spirit lives on in those who knew him. His incredible work ethic stayed with him through his final hour.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barb; daughters, Wendy Jacobson, Lora (John) Doucette; sons, Randy (Carol) Hamann, Reynold (Charlene) Hamann; grandchildren, Mehgan, Maddy and Molly Hamann, Katie and Jeff Jacobson, Kaleigh, Emily and Ren Hamann, Shelby and Dustin Doucette; sisters, Marie LaBonne, Rosemary Mark, Jacqui Ritchie and Joy Pforr; brothers, Richard, Ruben, Dennis and Scott Hamann.
Ray requested a midsummer memorial service in lieu of a traditional funeral arrangement; details will be communicated at a later date.
