Republicans convene to elect leadership
Officers were elected at the annual Hubbard County Republican Convention Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Park Rapids American Legion.
The first guest speaker was State Rep. Steve Green, who talked about what's been happening in St. Paul since he became elected. A question and answer session was held with Representative Green.
The next speaker was State Rep. Jim Newberger from Becker. He praised the hard work that Representative Green has been doing.
Former Representative Dave Hancock was the last speaker, giving his current thoughts about accountability and Governor Dayton's proposed budget.
The following people were elected to serve as Hubbard County Republican officers:

Treasurer - Nancy Bogaard
State Central Committee Delegate - Dick Bogaard
The Hubbard County Republicans meet the second Monday of every month at the Dorset Café starting with dinner and social at 6 p.m. and the meeting at 7 p.m.
