Remember to stop

A stop sign has once again been placed in the alley between Main Avenue and Highway 71 at Fourth Street.

A stop sign had been at the intersection before downtown construction and was moved at some point, explained Police Chief Terry Eilers. After receiving some complaints about people rolling out of the alley, the city decided to put up the stop sign again.

Due to angled parking along Fourth Street, it can be difficult to see. Drivers are reminded to stop and use caution.
