Public meeting Tuesday to discuss Highway 34 project from Park Rapids to Akeley
The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend an informational meeting to discuss planned improvements for Minnesota State Highway 34 from Park Rapids to Akeley and for Minnesota State Highway 226 from Highway 34 to Dorset. The meeting will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, at the Senior Citizens Center, 114 Village Road in Nevis. The meeting will be conducted in an open-house format with a brief presentation at 5 p.m. Mn/DOT staff will be available beyond 7 p.m., if needed to accommodate public interest. The highway improvements scheduled for construction in 2011 will include bituminous reclamation, turn lanes, culverts, lighting and resurfacing.
