A Park Rapids man escaped serious injury Friday morning after he was pinned underneath his rolled vehicle but he didn’t walk away from criminal charges.

Damon Dooley, 35, rolled his 1987 Ford pickup shortly after 11 a.m. on Highway 87 south of Park Rapids.

According to the State Patrol, Dooley’s “vehicle was driven off the road on the right side, then over corrected and crossed the highway and entered the opposite ditch, where the vehicle rolled over onto its roof.

“The driver was belted in, but his arm was pinned under the vehicle.

“Driver was conscious and alert,” the Patrol report indicated.

The Park Rapids Fire Department lifted the vehicle off Dooley’s arm. Dooley walked to a waiting ambulance with assistance.

He was taken to St. Joseph’s Area Health Services, where he was treated and released.

He was charged with driving after revocation.
