Pool ventilation system to be replaced
The ventilation system at the Park Rapids Area High School pool will be replaced this spring to improve air quality.
The Park Rapids Area School Board approved a proposal from Johnson Controls Monday night to take out the existing ventilation system and replace it.
High school principal Jeff Johnson said the new system will have air go across the water and pull water out of the air. It will smell less like chlorine, he said.
"It really needs to be upgraded," he said.
The pool doesn't need to be drained for the project, which will take 2-3 weeks to complete.
