Polk County chase ends in a cloud of dust
A high-speed chase in Polk County on Wednesday had to be called off because of dust.
According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, deputies were assisting the Tri-County Community Corrections Probation Services about 9 p.m. Wednesday in checking up on a possible probation violation.
But the person or persons took off near Erskine, Minn., down a dry, gravel road with the officers on the chase.
"The pursuit lasted 8.5 miles and was then terminated after law enforcement lost visual contact with the vehicle," the sheriff's office news release relates.
In other words, the guy got away in a cloud of dust.
No arrests have been made, but the investigation continues.
No word if it was Bo or Luke driving the General Lee.
