Police: Marijuana stuck to driver's license prompts Fargo arrest
FARGO - License and vegetation, please.
A Fargo woman pulled over by police last weekend landed in a sticky situation when the officer went to scan her driver's license and found marijuana stuck to the back of it, Lt. Joel Vettel said.
The amount was large enough that the officer could identify it by sight, Vettel said.
The woman initially claimed the marijuana was her daughter's but later admitted it was hers after police found two marijuana pipes in her purse, Vettel said.
Czesia Marie Van Meter, 43, was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She also was cited for exhibition driving, municipal court records show.
The traffic stop occurred at about 1 a.m. in the 100 block of Roberts Street North, Vettel said.
Assistant State's Attorney Kara Schmitz Olson said she anticipated charges would be filed against Van Meter late Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning.
