Twelve different players contributed in the scoring column as Pequot Lakes posted a 72-35 Mid-State Conference boys basketball victory over Park Rapids Tuesday night at Pequot Lakes.
Kurtis Moody, Thomas Parker and Michael Ward hit three baskets each as the Patriots led 32-14 at the half. Paul Dirks, Dillon Theis, Christian Ridlon and Kyle Goplerud had a field goal each for the Panthers in the first half.
Four inside baskets by Ward and a pair of 3-pointers by Michael Goerges led Pequot Lakes in the second half. Dirks had three field goals while Taylor Kimball and Josh Hays hit a 3-pointer apiece for the Panthers.
Ward scored 16 points to lead the Patriots, who improved to 6-5 on the season.
Dirks finished with 11 points as the Panthers fell to 0-10 on the year.
Crosby-Ironton (4-0) and Staples-Motley (3-0) are undefeated in conference play. Following the leaders are Detroit Lakes at 2-2, Pequot Lakes and Wadena-Deer Creek at 1-3, and Park Rapids at 0-3.
