Paul McCartney to play July 12 at Fargodome; tickets from $25 to $251.50
FARGO – Former Beatle and rock legend Sir Paul McCartney will perform July 12 at the Fargodome, officials announced Monday morning.
Fargodome General Manager Rob Sobolik said the venue had been trying for years to land McCartney and got close a few times in the past.
But this time, the venue was able to secure the musician for an 8 p.m. concert on July 12. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. that evening.
The concert was confirmed Monday, despite a denial from another Fargodome official on Friday that McCartney was coming to town.
The news conference drew a few dozen, including Fargo Mayor Dennis Walaker and Fargo-Moorhead Convention and Visitor’s Bureau President and CEO Charley Johnson.
Tickets will go on sale April 28 at 10 a.m., and will be available at the Fargodome box office, online at www.inforumtix.com or by phone at (855) 694-6367.
American Express card members can buy the tickets early during a presale beginning 10 a.m. Thursday through 10 p.m. Sunday.
Sobolik said tickets for the concert, which will be held in a full-house setup in the Fargodome with room for 17,000 or more attendees, are available for $25, $89.50, $151.50 and $251.50.
The Minnesota Twins also announced Monday that McCartney will perform Aug. 2 at Target Field. Tickets for that show go on sale April 28.
