Passport Day to be held in Hubbard County March 27; get cards, books or renew
An informational "Passport Day" will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 27 at the Hubbard County License Bureau, located on the first floor of the courthouse.
Bureau personnel will provide passport information to U.S. citizens and accept passport applications.
Photos can be taken on site (at a cost of $10) and birth certificates for those born in Minnesota will be available. A certified birth certificate and photo identification are required to apply for a passport.
U.S. citizens must present a valid passport book when re-entering the U.S. by air or sea. Citizens re-entering from Canada or Mexico by vehicle at land borders must present a passport card.
Cost for a passport book is $100 and valid for 10 years. Cost is $85 for those 15 and under and valid for five years. Both parents must be with children 16 and under when making the application.
Cost for a passport card is $45 for adults and $35 for children 15 and under.
