Park Rapids woman gets jail time in Becker County drug case
A Park Rapids woman was sentenced Monday in Becker County District Court on a felony drug possession charge.
Tammara C. Eischens, 22, of 501 Gilbert Ave. S. No. 2, Park Rapids, was ordered to serve 30 days in jail and up to five years of supervised probation, and fined $1,090. If probation is completed successfully, the charge will be dismissed.
Eischens was charged in connection with a March 15 traffic stop on County Road 124 in Becker County, in which a State Patrol trooper had stopped her for a cracked windshield and not wearing a seat belt. Upon smelling marijauana smoke, the trooper conducted a search, and found several pills, a scale with apparent marijuana residue and $100 cash.
