The area was under a winter storm warning from Tuesday evening until Wednesday evening. The winds were also a problem overnight and into Wednesday morning. As a result, many schools were either closed or had late starts around the state.  Many other activities had to be cancelled as well due to the snow.

Wednesday night, we had a cloudy sky with still some lingering light snow. The winds were out of the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  That continued to cause some blowing and drifting of snow in open areas.

Overnight lows Thursday morning dropped only into the teens and twenties across the state. With the mild air we did have some patchy fog around the state.

Thursday, we did have some light snow with highs in the low to mid 30s. More light snow was possible for Friday before drier air returns by Sunday. Highs on Saturday and Sunday will be in the 20s. We should see some warmer air by Monday and Tuesday. Some 40s are possible so that should melt some of the snow. Snowmobilers will be out in full force enjoying the snow this weekend!
