Park Rapids man injured in alcohol-related crash
A Park Rapids man with a history of drunken driving arrests was slightly injured when his car veered across the opposing lane of County Road 81 Friday night and crashed into the opposing ditch.
The Hubbard County Sheriff's Department said Matthew Charles Furlott, 29, received a few stitches in his chin about midnight Friday. His vehicle was totaled.
Chief Deputy Jerry Tatro said Furlott had "an out-standing warrant for an-other DWI charge and we believe he has a couple DWI arrests from Michigan."
Tatro said Furlott will be charged with Second Degree DWI, which carries a maximum penalty of one year and/or a $3,000 fine upon conviction.
