Park Rapids man gets jail, probation in Becker County drug case
David Lee Heyer, 45, of 19216 167th Ave., Park Rapids has been sentenced in Becker County District court for felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime, possession.
According to court records, in March of 2009 he obtained 2.4 grams of methamphetamines to sell for $300 to a confidential reliable informant with the West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force.
Heyer appeared Wednesday before District Judge Joe Evans, who stayed imposition of sentence for five years and placed him on supervised probation.
He must serve 30 days in jail, with credit for two days served, and Sentencing to Service privileges granted.
He was fined $1,000 plus court fees and must pay $300 in restitution to the drug task force. He must get a chemical use assessment and follow the recommendations.
