Park Rapids man in court for being fugitive of justice
A Park Rapids man appeared in Becker County District Court Monday on a felony fugitive from justice charge.
Bryce Steven Boos, 23, of 205 Pleasant Ave. S., Park Rapids, was charged as the result of a Dec. 14 incident in which a sheriff's deputy spotted him walking along Highway 10 near Sunnyside Care Center, and stopped to see if he was all right. A check of Boos' identity showed that he was wanted on an active felony warrant in the state of California, where the Los Angeles Police Department had filed a burglary charge against him on May 10.
He was taken into custody pending Monday's hearing, at which time he signed a waiver of extradition agreeing to return to California to face the charges against him. He was held at the Becker County Jail until officers from California could come to transport him back to Los Angeles.
