Katelyn Hilmanowski served eight aces and 10 points while Megan Grimes pounded down nine kills in leading the Park Rapids volleyball team past Walker-Hackensack-Akeley last Thursday night at Walker.

Justine Rittgers served 12 points, including the final three to end the match, as the Panthers posted a 27-25, 25-18, 25-22 victory.

Grace Bateman had three ace serves and 16 set assists, Shania Johnson had 11 set assists, Bria Wolff had six kills and four solo blocks, and Rittgers had seven digs for the Panthers, who tallied 14 ace serves and 27 kills in the match. Rittgers added two ace serves, Hilmanowski had five kills, Bateman had six digs and Grimes had five digs as the Panthers improved to 1-1 on the season.

This was the first match of the season for the Wolves.
