W-DC salvaged the split by holding the Panthers to six hits in a 6-2 win in the second game.

In the opener, a three-run sixth inning sparked the Panthers to the win.

After the Wolverines scored twice in the first, the Panthers tied the game in the second on a single and stolen base by Jordan Eischens, an RBI single by Bade and an RBI single by Zach Eystad.

Chris Goplerud opened the fifth inning with a double and scored on Levi Erickson's two-out single to give the Panthers a 3-2 lead.

W-DC tied the game in the sixth before the Panthers scored three times in the bottom of the inning. David Dirks walked and Eystad reached on an error to start the inning. Sam Coborn's RBI single and a passed ball produced the first two runs before Cory Odland's two-out single produced an insurance run.

Bade allowed three earned runs on six hits and four walks over six-plus innings for the win before McCollum recorded the final three outs for the save. Goplerud and Eystad had two hits each as the Panthers pounded out 10 hits.

The Panthers stranded runners on base in every inning in the nightcap as W-DC gained the split.

W-DC again scored twice in the first before Panthers closed the deficit to 2-1 when Rilee Johnson led of the second with a walk and scored on singles by Eischens and Erickson.

After the Wolverines scored a run in the fourth, Coborn singled, stole second and scored on Odland's double in the fifth as Park Rapids trailed 3-2.

The Wolverines sealed the win by scoring twice in the sixth and once in the seventh.

Coborn went 3 for 4 to lead the Panthers' offense while Cory Gartner took the loss by allowing five runs on three hits and four walks over the first five innings. McCollum gave up a run on one hit and a walk over the final two innings.

The split left the Panthers with a 1-2 record in conference play and a 3-4 overall record. W-DC is 3-5 in the conference and 4-5 overall.
