The No. 6-seeded Panthers jumped out to a 4-0 lead before Thief River Falls rallied to advance.

In the first inning, walks to Cody Schirmers and Dylan Walsh and a single by Tucker Coborn set up a three-run double by Kevin Vaadeland to give Park Rapids a 3-0 lead.

Vaadeland led off the third with a double and scored on Justin Peterson's grounder to give the Panthers a 4-0 edge.

Zach Sorenson's two-run homer with two outs in the third and Myles Keefe's two-run double in the fourth helped the No. 3-seeded Prowlers tie the game.

Park Rapids took a 5-4 lead in the sixth on singles by Jack Mercado, Cory Odland and Dan Pike and a sacrifice fly by Schirmers.

Thief River Falls rallied for the win on an error and Conners' game-winning home run with one out in the seventh.

Kevin McMorrow went the distance for the Panthers, allowing six runs on six hits. Coborn, Vaadeland and Odland had two hits each as the Panthers ended with a 7-14 record.
