Tyler McCollum’s four-hit shutout gave the Park Rapids baseball team a Mid-State Conference split at Detroit Lakes last Thursday to close out the regular season.

McCollum pitched the Panthers to a 6-0 win in the first game before Detroit Lakes rebounded for a 7-3 victory in the second game.

The split left both teams with 9-3 records in the conference and 14-3 overall records. Staples-Motley also finished 9-3 for a three-way tie for the conference title.
